Privacy Awareness Week resources available
Privacy Awareness Week (PAW) will be held from 4 to 10 May 2014 and we have released a range of resources for the community and the public sector.
OIC is raising community awareness of privacy rights and risks to their privacy under the theme: ‘Privacy. Take charge.’ The campaign encourages members of the public to take an active and informed approach to protecting their personal information.
Our public sector awareness campaign has the theme: ‘Privacy. Handle with care.’ It is designed to continue to promote awareness and to foster an understanding of government employee’s responsibilities when handling personal information, as contained in the Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld).
Posters, checklists and an infographic are available on the OIC website with more resources, such as a quiz and animations, to be released shortly.
