The 2015-16 Office of the Information Commissioner Annual Report was tabled in Parliament today, 26 September 2016. The report outlines performance against key activities and established targets across three service areas. This report illustrates OIC’s commitment to promoting and protecting an individual’s right to access government-held information and to privacy.

Queensland’s Office of the Information Commissioner is pleased to announce that Professor Anne Tiernan, Director, Policy Innovation Hub Griffith University will deliver the 2016 Solomon Lecture, titled Collaboration in Place: The central role of information and data in securing Queensland’s future prosperity. The lecture is part of activities marking Right to Information Day on 28 September 2016.

The Office of the Information Commissioner has released two reports: 2016 Right to Information and Information Privacy Electronic Audit: Queensland public sector agencies’ responses and comparative analysis with 2010 and 2013 results and Desktop Audits 2014-16: Website Compliance with Right to Information and Information Privacy - Local Governments and Hospital Foundations.
