Celebrating the achievements of women and girls
OIC will mark International Women’s Day and Queensland Women’s Week in March.
The events provide an opportunity to celebrate the success and achievements of women and girls, while also looking to build a brighter, more equal future.
The theme for International Women’s Day (IWD) on 8 March 2026 is ‘Balance the scales’. It’s a promise that every woman and girl – regardless of background or identity – deserve to be safe, respected and free to shape their own lives.
Queensland Women’s Week (QWW) will be held from 8-14 March 2026, and this year focuses on ‘Shaping tomorrow together’.
When women and girls stand equal, families are stronger, workplaces are fairer, communities thrive and society becomes safer for everyone.
Everyone has a role to play in creating a community that respects women, embraces equality and promotes the rights, interests and wellbeing of women and girls.
As an agency with women in key leadership positions, OIC is proud to be marking these important occasions.
OIC encourages everyone to celebrate women's achievements, raise awareness about discrimination and take action to drive gender parity.
