IPOLA Training
OIC is delivering a staged training program to support public sector agencies and staff prepare for the IPOLA reforms.
This training was successfully delivered in August and September 2024. Over 1,000 public sector staff attended 19 sessions (held online and in-person) which were delivered in nine locations across Queensland, including Mount Isa, Cairns, Toowoomba and the Gold Coast.

The following IPOLA resources are useful for those who missed the Stage 1 - Awareness training session, or those who attended and would like a recap:
Stage 2 – Build Knowledge training was delivered from October 2024 to March 2025. Three modules, covering the Mandatory Notification of Data Breach (MNDB) scheme, Information Privacy including the new Privacy Principles, and the Right to Information (RTI), provided more detailed information on the reforms and a range of scenarios to support participants apply the legislation.
In total, 36 face-to-face and online sessions have been delivered to over 1,900 participants across nine locations including Caloundra, Bundaberg, Beenleigh, Mackay, Rockhampton, Cairns, Townsville, Longreach and Brisbane.
