The Right to Information Act 2009 (Qld) (RTI Act) creates a right of access to documents of an agency and documents of a Minister, subject to the RTI Act's limitations. It also allows people to apply to amend their personal information contained in those documents.
The RTI Act encourages administrative access and proactive release of information where appropriate and includes specific mechanisms for making information available, as explained in Administrative access, publication schemes, and disclosure logs.
