The Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld) (IP Act) provides for the fair collection and handling of personal information by Queensland government agencies and Ministers through the privacy principle requirements and the mandatory data breach scheme.
The Office of the Information Commissioner has a range of resources to assist Queensland government agencies and Ministers to understand and meet their obligations under the RTI and IP Act.
