Benefits include:
36.25 hour full time working week
4 weeks recreation leave per year, with 17.5% leave loading paid each December
13 weeks long service after 10 years, and the taking of pro rata long service leave after 7 years of continuous service
14 weeks paid parental leave, with flexibility to extend using half pay or other leave types; and paid spousal leave and cultural parent leave, and for surrogacy and adoption

The terms and conditions of employment for most employees of the OIC are set out in the Public Sector Act 2022, the Queensland Public Service Officers and Other Employees Award – 2015, and the Office of the Information Commissioner Certified Agreement.
In addition to OIC employer contributions of 12.75%, employees can also contribute between 2% to 5% of their salary to super. Salary packaging, or salary sacrificing, allows you to package part of your pre-tax salary into income and benefits, such as your salary to super, or through a novated lease.
