Conditions of use

The Office of the Information Commissioner (OIC) encourages our stakeholders and the community to openly participate in public debate on the principles and practices of the Right to Information Act 2009 (Qld) and Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld) in the community and within government.

Moderation of comments received will assist us in providing an open and transparent discussion platform which limits spam and comments that do not meet the requirements outlined below.

When submitting a comment:

  • do not include offensive or inappropriate language, threats, slurs, personal attacks
  • do not post excessively long or irrelevant comments
  • do not post links returning errors or irrelevant links
  • do not promote commercial services or products
  • protect your privacy. Do not include personal phone, email, or mailing information in the body of your comments.

All comments are subjected to a moderation process and reviewed against the above criteria. If your comment does not meet the required criteria your comment may be edited prior to publishing or simply not published.

If the comment is edited the moderator will identify there has been a change to the original comment.

All comments are anonymous and will be reviewed as quickly as possible during normal business hours.
