Relevance to the RTI Act

Section 41(1) of the RTI Act replicates section 29(1) of the FOI Act with no substantive changes.

Section 42 of the RTI Act sets out procedural requirements that must be met before an agency or Minister can refuse to deal with an application under the RTI Act. The length of the consultation period is dealt with differently from section 29A of the FOI Act.
