A recent media article reported that the Department of Defence had terminated the contract of a supplier after it found out the provider was processing and hosting employees’ personal information on servers hosted overseas. This contravened the conditions of the contract between the two parties.


Some timely reminders

When asking for an extension of time it is important to request it in business days and not as an extension to a date. This will make calculating the decision’s due date much simpler for the applicant and the agency and means your decision is much less likely to inadvertently go deemed.


Resolving privacy complaints
