Collection of COVID-19 vaccination status
Queensland government agencies are required to comply with the privacy principles in the Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld) when collecting and managing personal information. This includes personal information about whether their employees have received a COVID-19 vaccination. To assist agencies in meeting their privacy obligations, and public sector employees in understanding their privacy rights, we have published guidance on the collection of COVID-19 vaccination status information.
There are sperate resources for health agencies and other agencies, due to differences in their privacy obligations, so please ensure you consult the correct resource.
