Mineral and Energy Resources (Financial Provisioning) Bill 2018

The Office of the Information Commissioner (OIC) provided a submission to Queensland Parliamentary Economics and Governance Committee to inform its deliberations on the Mineral and Energy Resources (Financial Provisioning) Bill 2018. OIC’s comments are restricted to concerns regarding proposed amendments to the Right to Information Act 2009 which seek to introduce additional categories of documents and entities to which the RTI Act does not apply.
