Section 22(a) – refusal of access where arrangements made by an agency

The applicant sought review of a decision of the Queensland Police Service (QPS) to refuse him access, pursuant to section 22(a) of the Freedom of Information Act 1992 (Qld) to information relating to all traffic incidents which had occurred on a particular stretch of road since 2000.

Assistant Commissioner Gittins affirmed the decision of the QPS, finding that the information sought by the applicant was available through an arrangement made by the QPS with the Crash Data Unit of Queensland Transport.
