In this case the Information Commissioner decided that a letter from a doctor relating to a student's medical condition, and its effect upon the student's ability to undertake swimming classes, comprised information concerning the student's personal affairs for the purposes of s.44(1) of the FOI Act. This case also illustrates the application of the public interest balancing test contained within s.44(1).
