The OIC's content has been updated and refined.
Standalone information sheets for applicants and third parties have been replaced with concise content consolidated across fewer pages.
Look at the For Community topics now available such as:
- RTI review rights
- How to access information from Queensland government
- Your privacy rights in Queensland
Some of the new pages include explainer videos for the public to assist.
In depth articles about aspects of RTI and Privacy are now conveniently located under the Library section of the website, which also contains a one stop shop for Resources such as templates and checklists.
To reduce duplication and improve clarity, information for agencies and Ministers has been streamlined and refined. Content formerly known as guidelines is now centralised in the Government section.
Look for the Government topics now available such as:
- Decision making - public interest factors
- Decision making - documents nonexistent, unlocatable, or other access available
- Writing the decision and giving access
- Mandatory data breach scheme
The Key RTI Concepts and Key Privacy Concepts sections replace content in the former guidelines, offering a clear, alphabetical list of definitions and explanations. These are crosslinked to related content on both the RTI and privacy pages, providing a ‘dictionary’ of key concepts.
The OIC has launched a Vimeo channel, providing video resources to help users better understand RTI and privacy topics as well hold our presentations.
