The 2026 theme, Smart tech, smarter choices: Protecting your privacy in the age of AI, focuses on the decisions we all make around technology, privacy and the growing influence of artificial intelligence (AI). It reinforces the importance of taking a proactive approach to protecting personal information—whether it is your own, or information held by a public sector agency.

OIC joined with other entities to deliver a suite of on-demand presentations on a variety of topics relevant to PAW. The presentations have been designed for specific stakeholders (including the community, local councils and senior leaders) and aim to improve privacy awareness and understanding.
