(1993 S0025, 7 April 1998)

The documents in issue concerned a complaint by the applicant against a police officer.  The Information Commissioner found statements provided to the CJC investigator by junior police officers, and by civilian employees of the QPS, were exempt under s.40(c) of the FOI Act.  However, the Information Commissioner found that a letter from the CJC to the officer the subject of the complaint, and a record of interview with the officer, were not exempt under s.40(c) of the FOI Act.  The Information Commissioner also found that some matter concerning the emotional reaction to particular situations, of a person other than the applicant, was exempt matter under s.44(1) of the FOI Act.
