That’s a wrap for the IPOLA Stage 1- Awareness training rollout
We have concluded delivery of IPOLA Stage 1 - Awareness training, helping public sector staff prepare for future reforms to the Information Privacy Act 2009 (IP Act) and Right to Information Act 2009 (RTI Act).
Almost 1,000 attendees came to the sessions facilitated by Acting Privacy Commissioner Jim Forbes, both in person and online. Jim travelled over 8,000km as he delivered training across the state, including the Gold Coast, Cairns and Mount Isa with support throughout from OIC’s IPOLA project team.
We acknowledge the significant impact these changes will have on public sector agencies, which is why we are committed to continuing our engagement and training program through the remainder of 2024 and into 2025.
If you’re a public sector worker, please keep an eye out for:
- Our second stakeholder engagement survey. We encourage your input, to ensure we continue to deliver in line with your requirements
- An invitation to the next stage of our training, Stage 2 - Building Knowledge, which we expect to roll out from late October 2024.
