OIC Submissions – Insights into information access and privacy

February 2, 2026 - 11:55am

OIC continues to contribute to the development of policies and practices through submissions detailing information access and privacy rights and responsibilities.

Submissions are formal documents prepared by organisations, stakeholders, or individuals to provide expert insights, evidence, and recommendations on specific topics or proposed legislative changes. They play a vital role in informing Government decision-making by highlighting key issues, offering solutions, and ensuring that diverse perspectives are considered.

Our published submissions reflect a commitment to promoting transparency, accountability, and the protection of privacy for all Queenslanders. They address a range of critical topics, including access to government-held information, safeguarding personal data, and balancing the rights and responsibilities of individuals and organisations.

We invite interested parties to explore these submissions to better understand our role in advocating for fair and equitable information access and privacy practices.
