OIC marks Multicultural Queensland Month 2023

August is Multicultural Queensland Month (MQM) and OIC is getting on board to help celebrate the incredible diversity across the state.

This year’s theme is Many cultures, one Queensland: putting inclusion into action. By celebrating our diversity, we recognise the benefits of the many backgrounds, skills and experiences that make up who we are.

MQM is Queensland’s largest multicultural celebration. More than 1 in 5 Queenslanders were born overseas, which highlights the amazing fusion of backgrounds that make our state great.

We are also lucky to have a vast number of languages and dialects spoken across Queensland.

Communities thrive when we work together to ensure everyone can connect, contribute and belong.

OIC acknowledges the amazing work of multicultural Queenslanders, including our own staff members, and how this contributes to a culturally diverse community.
