Join us in supporting Safer Internet Day 2023
Safer Internet Day will be held on Tuesday 7 February 2023 and OIC is once again supporting this important initiative which aims to create safer online spaces for everyone around the world.
This year marks the 20th Safer Internet Day and the theme announced by the eSafety Commissioner is Connect. Reflect. Protect.
With so much of our time currently spent online, it has never been more important to:
- Connect safely and with purpose – by keeping apps and devices secure and using social media in positive ways
- Reflect before we act – by taking a moment to consider how what we do and say online may affect others
- Protect ourselves and others by taking action – tell family, friends and colleagues about eSafety and visit their website for advice, support and to report online abuse
In support of Safer Internet Day, OIC will be sharing online safety messages and promoting the positive use of digital technology across our Twitter and LinkedIn channels, as well as encouraging staff to check out eSafety’s range of free webinars, resources and activities.
These days the world is more connected than ever, making online safety awareness even more important.
