IPOLA training - MNDB scheme
We are delivering workshops to help agencies draft documents that support compliance with the Mandatory Notification of Data Breach (MNBD) scheme.
These workshops will be co-facilitated by staff from the Office of the Information Commissioner and Clayton Utz. Clayton Utz have been commissioned to develop three templates to support Queensland government agencies roll out the MNDB scheme, namely, a Data Breach Policy, Data Breach Register and Response Plan.
Even if your agency has already prepared these key documents, we encourage you to attend and consider whether your documents appropriately comply with the Information Privacy and Other Legislation Amendment (IPOLA) Act.
On Thursday, 15 May 2025, four separate workshops will be provided with tailored advice to the following groups:
- 9:00am – 10:00am for government departments
- 11:00am – 12:00pm for smaller agencies (statutory authorities, government owned corporations, tertiary education)
- 1:00pm – 2:00pm for health entities (including the Department, Hospital and Health Services, and any other entity that collects and manages significant health-related information)
- 3:00pm - 4:00pm for local government (Councils and other supporting entities).
You only need to register for the workshop that best represents your agency. These hybrid sessions have limited in-person places available and will be held at the University of Queensland, 308 Queen Street, Brisbane City.
We look forward to you joining us for these free workshops.
