Alongside the launch of OIC’s new website, we are pleased to announce the launch of four new online training modules, designed to support Queensland public sector agencies in meeting their privacy and right to information obligations.
These enhanced modules have been updated with new content and features to provide an improved and engaging learning experience.
The training modules are now available and offer self-paced learning opportunities for public sector employees and senior executives.
They include:
- Understanding the Right to Information Act – A Guide for Senior Executives: Tailored to equip senior public sector leaders with the knowledge and tools to meet their obligations under the Right to Information Act 2009 (Qld).
- An Introduction to Privacy: A foundational overview of privacy principles and obligations under the Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld) suitable for all public sector officers.
- How to Manage a Privacy Complaint: Practical guidance for public sector officers with obligations under theInformation Privacy Act 2009 (Qld) (IP Act) about how to identify and manage complaints.
- Understanding and Applying the Mandatory Notification of Data Breach (MNDB) Scheme: Designed to assist public sector officers in identifying, assessing and responding to data breaches.
Each module contains information, quizzes and an animation. As always, OIC’s online training is free to complete.
