The Information Commissioner’s external review function is moving to a new Case Management System that will use OIC’s Agency Portal to securely share information between OIC and agencies.

This requires action by all agencies.

The transition will impact agencies in two ways:

  1. A new online application form is now available, to be used for all external review applications. When an agency issues decisions or provides advice to applicants that they can seek external review of RTI decisions, please refer the applicant to OIC’s new RTI form.
  1. From Friday 15 May 2026, OIC will use a secure portal to communicate with agencies regarding all new external review applications. If your agency is not already registered to use OIC’s Agency Portal, please take a look at our FAQs. If you require any assistance with setting up your access or using the portal, please email itsupport@oic.qld.gov.au.

We anticipate there may be some delays in processing external review applications as we adapt to the new system and processes. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
