Stage 3 IPOLA training - RTI Supplementary Information and Q&A

The Information Privacy and Other Legislation Amendment (IPOLA) Act reforms relating to right to information will commence on 1 July 2025 for all Queensland government agencies.

We recently completed Stage 2 IPOLA training which included a specific module on the amendments to the Right to Information Act (RTI Act).

Questions and discussions in those sessions, and feedback thereafter, identified three areas where practitioners may benefit from further information and the opportunity for a more detailed question and answer session - - reviewable decisions, judicial functions decisions and external review decisions and appeals.

We are delivering an additional online session to address this specific training need.

Public sector staff responsible for processing formal requests or making decisions under the RTI Act, including legal officers, are invited to join the session.
