OIC is continuing to focus on regional engagement with Queensland Information Commissioner Joanne Kummrow hitting the road and meeting with government agency leaders across the state. This ongoing activity builds on a wide range of stakeholder meetings held in 2024/25.
Ms Kummrow said, “By proactively engaging with our stakeholders we can better understand the diversity of operating environments experienced by Queensland agencies. This includes any successful approaches or challenges faced in providing easier access to information and the protection of personal information.”
Since September, Information Commissioner Kummrow has visited several agencies in Cairns and the surrounding area, and Southern Downs.
Plans are underway to visit Toowoomba and Lockyer Valley before the end of the year.
