New IPOLA guidelines available focusing on privacy reforms

OIC continues to deliver resources to help public sector agencies prepare for the reforms under the Information Privacy and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2023 (IPOLA Act), due to commence on 1 July 2025.

Six new guidelines are now available relating to information privacy reforms:

• Who does the Information Privacy Act apply to
• Key privacy concepts – consent
• Key privacy concepts – generally available publication
• Anonymity and pseudonymity in complaint management
• Compliance notices
• Data analytics

As the content and resources continue to grow, the IPOLA section on the OIC website has undergone some recent changes to improve user experience and aesthetics.
