Under Queensland's new Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld) the Office of the Information Commissioner has performance monitoring and support functions. These statutory functions include commenting on any issues relating to the administration of privacy in the public sector. This submission provides some general observations in relation to the Healthcare Identifiers and Privacy Discussion Paper.
