Quatrix

Quatrix is a secure cloud file sharing platform where files are shared over HTTPS and protected at rest using AES-256 encryption. In addition, PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) is available which ensures that no one but the intended recipient is able to access your data, providing advanced security for highly confidential files. PGP uses a pair of keys – the public key locks; the private key unlocks. Your keys are securely stored on the Quatrix platform where all private keys are encrypted using your passphrase. The passphrase is not stored or remembered by Quatrix which ensures that no one (including Quatrix staff), can ever decrypt files in transit or at rest.  More information about Quatrix is available here

Quatrix is our preferred method of transferring additional files or documents, however, you can contact OIC Registry via administration@oic.qld.gov.au or (07) 3234 7373 or 1800 642 753 to discuss alternative methods.

To utilise the Quatrix file sharing platform, you will need to Register and set up your PGP passphrase. The OIC will send you an email requesting that you generate your PGP keys.

Step 1: Register

Click on the link provided in the email; you will then be asked to Register for a Quatrix ID. Click on ‘Login or Register’ and enter your agency email address and a password. These login details will be used by all staff within your unit to send or receive files.

Step 2: Generate PGP Keys

You will then be asked to enter a passphrase to generate your PGP keys. Once you click generate, you will receive a confirmation message. It is important you remember your passphrase since files shared to you encrypted using your key can not be decrypted without it. The OIC will not have a record of your passphrase.

You are now setup to send and receive files through Quatrix.

How do I send files or documents to the OIC?

OIC will send you an email containing a link to upload documents. If you have not received this email please contact OIC Registry via administration@oic.qld.gov.au or (07) 3234 7373 or 1800 642 753.

Once all of the required files have been added, click on ‘Upload and Share’.

Please note, request links are one-use only and will expire after 14 days.
