The RTI Act and IP Act provide for limited rights of access and amendment to OIC documents. The only access and amendment applications that can be made to OIC are those that relate to the personal information of OIC staff, under the IP Act. Therefore, OIC will only accept applications under the IP Act from staff members (or an authorised agent acting on behalf of the staff member) wishing to access or amend their own personal information.
How do staff members of the OIC make an application under the IP Act for access to or amendment of their personal information?
Typically OIC staff can obtain a copy of or amendment of their personal information simply by asking the Director, Engagement and Corporate Services. If disclosure of the information is refused, OIC staff may make an access application by completing the approved form and forwarding it to:
