Meetings with the Parliamentary committee

The Information Commissioner is an officer of the Queensland Parliament and reports to the Parliament through the Parliamentary Community Safety and Legal Affairs Committee. The Information Commissioner is independent of the executive government.

The Information Commissioner meets with the committee in November of each year.

LACSC is a permanent statutory committee of the Queensland Parliament. It is established by the Parliament of Queensland Act 2001 (Qld).

The main object of the provisions of the Act concerning parliamentary committees is to enhance the accountability of public administration in Queensland.
