Privacy Awareness Week (PAW) is held every year to promote and raise awareness of privacy and the importance of protecting personal information.
PAW 2017 runs from 15 to 21 May and this year’s theme is ‘Care when you share’.
As part of PAW 2017, OIC is hosting a one-hour webinar on sharing personal information and privacy on Wednesday, 17 May 2017. Register by 12 May 2017 to hear Mr Lemm Ex, Principal Privacy Officer talk about, in his always engaging and entertaining style, the mechanisms within the privacy principles that facilitate information-sharing between agencies.
While registrations to the official launch of PAW 2017 (PDF, 1320.56 KB)on Monday 15 May 2017 are now closed, you can tune in to watch to event live on the day to see keynote presentations by the United Kingdom Information Commissioner, Australian Productivity Commission, eHealth Queensland and Queensland’s Privacy Commissioner.
