Tell us your story!
In 2019, the Office of the Information Commissioner looks forward to celebrating 10 years since the introduction of the Right to Information Act and Information Privacy Act in Queensland.
We’ve seen some great changes in how Queensland has moved towards a more open and accountable government that protects and respects personal information. Many of you have been part of this journey:
- community members accessing information, providing feedback to agencies on information needs and using review and complaint mechanisms where necessary
- agencies proactively and administratively releasing information, managing formal access applications, ensuring appropriate safeguards for personal information including adopting privacy by design approach and helping improve business processes, and
- highlighting opportunities for improvement.
We want to hear your stories, your personal journeys to access, release or protect information over the last 10 years.
Your story may have resulted in a positive outcome or perhaps you expected something different – we want to hear all of them.
We also want to hear your ideas about opportunities and challenges for the next 5-10 years.
