Privacy Awareness Week 2019
Privacy Awareness Week (PAW) will be held from 12-18 May 2019 and is an opportunity to remind Queenslanders about their privacy rights and responsibilities for protecting and respecting personal information.
This year’s theme is ‘Build privacy into your everyday’, which also underpins the broader focus on issues like biometrics, data, de-identification and re-identification.
The Office of the Information Commissioner will be raising awareness of PAW with the community and across government through a range of events, activities and resources. PAW is just one of the key events in 2019 helping to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Right to Information Act and Information Privacy Act in Queensland.
