Privacy Awareness Week 2015 – Respect personal information

April 21, 2015 - 3:02pm

We have launched a range of privacy resources to mark Privacy Awareness Week, which runs from 3 to 9 May 2015. These include a web banner, logo, screensaver image, checklist and printable poster. This year’s theme Privacy everyday @ work and @ play is designed to increase understanding of what personal information is and the importance of protecting and respecting it. During Privacy Awareness Week we ask everyone to think about a series questions when their personal information is requested by a government agency. It is also a timely opportunity to remind government agency staff of their obligations under the Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld) when handling the personal information of others.
