New guidelines: sharing personal information between agencies
OIC has published updated guidance for agencies and health agencies on personal information sharing. They outline key requirements necessary to share personal information with another agency or health agency and steps that can be taken to mitigate privacy risks associated with information sharing.
As the world struggles with COVID-19 responses, contact tracing and vaccinations, it is more apparent than ever that information sharing can lead to better informed government decision making and streamline government processes. It can also provide enhanced protections for vulnerable members of the community by allowing better collaboration between support agencies.
