The 2015 Solomon Lecture was presented by Australian National University Professor Emeritus Richard Mulgan, who explored the topic of government resistance to greater transparency. Professor Mulgan critically examined a number of reasons given by many government leaders, both politicians and public servants, who continue to resist greater disclosure of information. If you work in government or deal with government, it is definitely one not to be missed!
The annual Solomon Lecture honours Dr David Solomon AM, Chairman of the 2007-08 Independent Freedom of Information Review Panel, which led to Queensland’s right to information and information privacy reforms.
