Government runs on information - collecting and creating data and documents about government policies, services, decision making as well as using and storing our personal information.
The Office of the Information Commissioner Queensland recently teamed up with the Australian-based members of the Association of Information Access Commissioners (AIAC) to develop a short explainer animation. The animation aims to raise awareness of every citizen’s right to access government information and ways to do so, like administrative access schemes, removing the need for a formal access application.
The video has been released as part of International Access to Information Day 2021 held on 28 September.
