TRAINING SESSIONS for DECISION MAKERS

Local government, statutory authorities and other government agencies

Townsville and Cairns

On 1 July 2009, new laws governing people’s right to access information held by government commenced.  The Right to Information Act 2009 (RTI Act) and Information Privacy Act 2009 (IP Act) introduce far-reaching changes which affect all Queensland government agencies, including local government agencies and statutory authorities.

To help local government agencies, statutory authorities and other government agencies meet their new obligations under the respective Acts, the Office of the Information Commissioner will be holding training for agency RTI and IP decision makers.
