A copy of the Information Commissioner’s speech from the Record Keepers Forum 29 September 2009 is available on our website. 

The Information Commissioner is developing guidelines specifically for agencies to assist them in their day-to-day administration of the Freedom of Information Act 1992 (Qld). These guidelines will be published on the OIC website in the Information Library section.

The new OIC website has been under development for a period of time. As a direct result the Office has been unable to add new material to the website and a backlog of information, in particular decisions, is awaiting publication. It is anticipated that much of this information will be made available on the website in the coming days, which will result in a large volume of material being added to the website over a short period of time, and more numerous notification emails being sent to subscribers.
